My art is an attempt to explore and explain my dreams and hopes. I love to use bright contrasting colors and to work with mixed media, using fine lines to create motifs. The motif is called Alpona in Bangla, language of Bangladesh, which is a traditional decorative art form that has been used in the Indian Sub-continent as a symbol of welcome to express joy and happiness in social and religious occasions. The designs are traditionally created as motif-based floor paintings using rice flour mixed with water. I want to create magical moments on the canvas where the viewer feels a sense of joy and welcome.

 I love to work with mix media where I use acrylics, oil, gloss and matte, pouring medium, heavy gel, and molding paste. Layer after layers of geometric and natural patterns are connected through pour, drip and splash of colors until I feel the completeness of transforming my joy, happiness, above all my dreams onto the canvas. Gushing vibrant color represent the joy in my mind that knows no bounds as I have come to express my joy to the fullest extent. Patterns represent self-control, and the environment around me.
